Can you explain why you set up The Handbook?
So at the time I was working in the hospitality industry, there was always amazing things going on at the restaurant I worked for, but there was no platform to market it. Most companies didn't even have websites. So I created The Handbook as your kind of go to one-stop shop of the best of London. From secret bars to new openings to the coolest parties in town.
You were only 23. What's the main learn you've had from all of this?
If you're setting up your own business, 100% belief in what you're doing. If you don't believe in what you do, no one else will. Be prepared to fail. If you haven't failed, you cant succeed. And it's through your failures that you really learn. I also think whatever business you're in, whatever you do, have a mailing list you can permanently drive traffic to your site and it's traffic that you own and can control. Don't rely on social media or Google, it constantly changes its algorithms and keep an eye on what your competitors are doing and making sure you're ahead of the game.
Your focus was on sharing the best restaurants, bars and clubs. Which are your three faves?
I love Lucky Cat by Gordon Ramsay. There's one in Mayfair, and they're about to open a new one in Bishopsgate which is meant to be the tallest restaurant in London. Corrigan's restaurant is incredible, I also love Manzi's, some of the best seafood in London.
Leg care routine, have you got one?
In the summer, I wax my legs and I love Bare by Vogue for tanning. In the winter, I definitely do not keep on top of my legs as I should do, but now you've sent me some amazing products, I'm going to try to do a leg care routine.
Daily wellbeing habit?
I take Spatone which is iron water every single day. I wasn't low on iron but just sometimes I get tired and it really helps. I also swear by Symprove and I take magnesium just before I go to bed and I sleep really well.
What's your favourite leg workout?
I have a personal training session once a week, and I love to go for long walks.
And finally, who's your leg icon?
Giselle. Victoria Beckham has great legs. Obviously my husband, he'll kill me if I don't say that.
